Who Are We?
Meet Scott Holton
If you’ve called J&P with a tech question, chances are good that you’ve spoken with Scott. A 1987 graduate of Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, Scott got his first job experience as a line mechanic for a Harley-Davidson dealership on the Hawaiian island of Oahu — quite nice until he realized there are only so many places to ride on an island. Once back on the mainland, he owned shops in California, Arizona, and Virginia, and then returned to MMI as an instructor in the Harley program where he taught for three years. Just prior to joining the J&P team in May 2000, Scott was employed by industry giant S&S Cycles. An accomplished engine builder, Scott applied his talents to the record-setting J&P Cycle Express Bonneville Streamliner. Scott rides a custom bike he constructed by stuffing a new Bottlecap style Indian Powerplus 100 engine into a mid-70’s 4-speed FL frame. Scott’s wife, Debbie, rides a beautiful 1970 FLH, and their son, Jack, already has two dirt bikes.
