In May of 2004, J&P Cycles® created a special t-shirt to raise money for the AMVETS here in Anamosa. It was offered in the 2004 Catalogs and in the showroom beginning in June. By the end of the year we'd sold 183 shirts, donating $550 to the Association. "We are big believers in supporting our community and our armed forces." Said J&P Cycles® President John Parham, "And what better way to thank the Veterans of our country than by supporting our local vets chapter." Jim Slach of the Anamosa AMVETS accepted the check from Rob DeSotel of our purchasing department. Rob helped develop and carry out the program. Jim said, "We'll be using the money for several projects throughout the year including upgrading flags around Anamosa."
