 Camp Courageous is a camp for handicapped and special needs children and
adults, founded in Monticello, Iowa. In 1972, forty acres of land were
donated for the sole purpose of establishing a camp for the disabled. Opened in
1974, today Camp Courageous is open year-round, has 80 acres of land with 14 buildings, and
annually serves over 4,400 campers, ranging in age from 1 to 100.
We donate the proceeds from our Annual Poker Run to the Camp.
