ANAMOSA, Iowa -- The 2002 J&P Cycles® Open House is on the move! Instead of its traditional early-June time slot, this year it is set for Saturday June 22. Nearly 2,000 people attended last year's day-long party, one of the largest of its kind in the Midwest. Owners John and Jill Parham host the event as a thank-you to the biking community and local residents who continue to offer phenomenal support to the growing business. The Open House is set for 8 am to 4pm at the company's headquarters, 1 mile north of Anamosa, just off U.S. Highway 151. Events planned for the day include a motorcycle rodeo, a
ride-in-bike show and swap Most products in J&P's giant showroom will be marked down 10% and a portion of the one-acre warehouse will be devoted to drastically reduced clearance items. More than $4000 in door prizes will be given away throughout the day. The J&P Cycles® Showroom Semi will be on display and
visitors can meet representatives of the industry's leading distributors. The motorcycle rodeo is free to all entrants. Brave riders can
participate in events such as the barrel race, the slow race and, of course,
the famous weenie bite, which requires an equally-brave passenger. For the second year in a row J&P will also hold a silent auction. Motorcycle parts and accessories donated by J&P and its distributors will be auctioned to raise money for Camp Courageous of Iowa. Motel accommodations are available in Anamosa at the Super-8
