Ok so I hate that people review tires the second day they're on the bike. I ride 20-30k+ miles a year. I bought these Shinkos because I was unemployed at the time and had a tight budget. While they lasted, they were great. Nice grip, even under wet conditions. The problem is that I only got 8,000 miles out of them. I don't ride particularly hard. I never show off with burn outs or wheelies on my FXDB because I depend on the longevity of my tires. My Harley is my sole transportation. So if you're on a tight budget and just need a tire. Shinko is great, but I highly suggest using the short time this tire provides to save up for something better. Its hard to find a 160/70b-17 white wall, and it seems my only other option is Dunlop. So I'm making the switch. If they're not any better, I'll have to return to blacks.

looks nice and rides smooth, while also not breaking the bank, not much more to ask for

I don't know why everyone doesn't put whitewalls on their's okay, not everyone can be cool. I've had these on for about a month now and they absolutely transformed the bike style-wise. Performance-wise, they're pretty decent. Can't speak toward how long they will last before getting them replaced, but they are very low cost to make your bike look sweet. And I really think you could pull it off with any style of wheel.
