I've been using mine for three years now and it's probably the best helmet I've ever had. It is lightweight and relatively quiet. Not as quiet as a one piece full face, but closed up with the shield down tight, it's close. It vents well in the warmer months if you’re not behind a windshield, but in winter, I think it needs a larger vent in the chin-bar, to aid in defrosting the face shield. Hey, a little AC. and defroster wouldn't be bad in any full face helmet. The padding is well placed and the helmet is plush and comfortable. With the flip-up (chin-bar), it' is way easier to get on and off than a typical one piece, full face helmet. I’ve even used the chin-bar as a sun visor, when that early morning blinding sun glare is shining straight down the road. That brings me to the flip-down sun glasses, they are convenient. Not as good as a good pair of sun glasses, but very handy. I've used it to put down over my sun glasses if I already have them on, for that sun glare mentioned earlier, and that works very well. HJC Sy Max II, is well made and worth the money. It is a medium cost, high grade helmet.
