Progressive Suspension Stock Length Fork Spring Kit

• The 'Original' Progressive Rate Fork Springs soak up the small road bumps, yet are firm enough to absorb the molar-rattling ones

• Spring rates have been chosen to reduce front end "dive" during braking, yet still provide excellent ride comfort

• Lifetime fork spring warranty

• Progressive Rate Fork Springs have several advantages over straight rate springs, advantage of a rising rate resistance to compression this helps in varying road conditions from small road imperfections to pothole filled roads

• The benefit of this is progressive spring rate is that the spring can be soft enough at the start of the travel to offer a "plush" ride, yet be firm enough at the end of the travel to soak up the big bumps

• Ideal performance improvement when installing chrome lower forks

• They eliminate sag, reduce nose dive under braking, improve stability and increase ride comfort

• Sold in sets that include correct spacers for the application

These springs are the perfect match for the progressive rear shocks I purchased also, great suspension set up for my FXDB..

 dynassauro Posted:

Great purchase! JP customer`s service was awesome and shipping and delivery time was impressive. TKS!

 ljandy21 Posted:

they work great in my Dyna by adding stability in hard riding and a smooth ride on the hiway.

 superdoug02 Posted:

Bike rides better than when it was new. Rode the stelvio pass 2 days after installation and couldnt have asked for a better ride

 jim768 Posted:

I was looking for more stability but what I found was a smoother ride. I didn't think my 07 DYNA rode rough before but the difference is like night and day. What a smooth ride! Very easy to install. I used a wine cork and a BBQ skewer to measure the required amount of oil. I don't think I ever bought a Harley part for under $100 that made as much difference.

Cheap upgrade for the improvements gained. The springs work so much better than stock, it makes me resent H-D for spec'ing out the bike with such cheapness. Although a pretty straight forward job it does require a stable jack/lift and a good relialbe helper. My awesome girlfriend was paitent and stong and assertive when needed. You'll be lucky to have half of what I had :) Getting the fork caps back on was the most difficult part. Get a good fork-cap socket and an extension and you'll have a better handle to put down the required force to get the caps re-threaded. I was pushing down on the assembly while she used a wrench to twist on the fork cap socket. Good luck and enjoy the smoother more confident stability of your new fork :)

put these on a 2013 FXDWG. they stopped the front fork dive I was getting at red lights. Bike front forks were dipping when I would come to a stop. had a lot of spring action. The Progressive springs stopped 90% of it. great buy!

[These]springs are fine.

Replaced old OEM springs. Big difference, should of did it long ago....

great product. I've used it many times before.

 andreguina Posted:

Great product with a very good price!! Fits perfectly.

 HopperXL Posted:

Great all round springs for my mixed riding - sometimes one up, other times two-up, sometimes with luggage etc, all on rough Aussie roads. Fitted in conjunction with Intiminators and the result is perfect. Train crossings are no longer a motocross event. Front end feels more grounded at speed too.

 davidm1956 Posted:

These spring made a HUGE improvement to the handling and feel of the bike. Great investment

 Harley03wg Posted:

As many of the previous reviews have stated, much nicer ride, My 03 wide glide feels great!!!

 Lukeadams Posted:

I bought these springs for 41mm wide glide forks. I bought them because they are "stock height". These springs are absolutely NOT stock height. They are packaged by Progressive Suspension with two pieces of PVC pipe that you have to cut to size and use as spacers. This is all described in the manufacturers installation instruction. On older models, like my forks, you have to remove the spring loaded oil blocker on the fork top nut and plug the hole with something of your own making. If you trust your front springs to be spaced up to stock height by two pieces of PVC pipe then these will work great. If you would rather have a quality product that meets stock specs I would buy other springs. Returning these immediately.

Great product I would buy it again.

This is an awesome product that made my bike the comfortable cruiser!

 badsporty Posted:

can't go wrong with these

 superglide2005 Posted:

great springs bike handels a whole better now.and thanks to J&P great prices.

 superglide2005 Posted:

these spring's work great. no more nose diving when you are breaking. or when you go into a curve alittle to hot.and what great price.only at j&p can you get such a great deal.

 lablover1028 Posted:

These springs are great. They come with PVC pipe spacers because the springs are shorter than the stock springs I had in my 1200C. They are stiff but I don't bottom the things out any more. I'm a big guy so these, along with Progressive rear shocks, have made it so I can haul all gear and myself with no problems. Very easy to install.

 jroberts156 Posted:

I ordered front springs for my Harley Davidson, I spoke with a customer service rep. that recommended this type of spring for the problem I have been having. He was very helpful and informative. They arrived in less than a week. I'm very satisfied with the purchase I made. Thanks J&P cycles.

works great

 motorheaD1340 Posted:

Stiffens up front forks and reduces dive. Works well with Progressive rear shocks.

 Gene King Posted:

Perfect fit. Had good instruction sheet. Performed well.

very good kit, improved the ride a lot.

 fmurph1 Posted:

Great product. Came with everything needed. Easy to follow instructions. Very satisfied with fork springs. No more front end diving when braking.

 BONEHEAD883 Posted:

Best thing i did, don't know why i waited so long

 fmurph1 Posted:

These made a great difference in the way the bike handles.

 mgadus Posted:

One of the best upgrade I could do to my 07 XL low. I never had to worry about bottoming out anymore.

 really Posted:

These really improved the handling and poise of my sportster, combined with 13" 412 rear shocks. Solid, not too stiff, they reduced braking dive and eliminated the wallowing feel of the bike on tight switchbacks. Not a cush ride, more a performance feel.

 careys Posted:

Ă“timo! recomendo.

 rocker3418 Posted:

Great upgrade, the bike handles so much better!

 zeroly32 Posted:

Simple to install if you have the 1 3/8" socket, breaker bar and a way to lift the front wheel up. I was pleased with the springs they are not as stiff as the harley oem springs they decompress and absorb the road a lot less violently than the stock springs. That being said these will make you really hate your stock rear shocks which do more of the work so my opinion get new rear shocks before worrying about the front!

 airman1952 Posted:

These springs were used in conjunction with Progressive shocks on a 2005 Sportster. This really improves the ride of this bike over the stock provisions. Well worth the money.

 paulewog Posted:

Much better ride Posted:

As advertised. I had greater spacer step-up with the stock springs than the Progressives. Could barely get the caps on, and I still had braking dive. After putting in the Progressive kit, viola! no more nose dive.

 colster Posted:

Excellent product, good instructions, well packaged with everything that is required Posted:

I was skeptical how well these could work, but was surprised how well they did perform. The stock springs were really bad "performance wise". Put a set of Heavy Duty 412's on the rear. Took the harshness out of the piss poor stock suspension. Well worth the money front and rear.
