The chrome was peeling off of the front header pipe at the bend when I pulled them out of the box. I called J&P who directed me to V&H. I sent photos of the defective pipe along with an email describing the issue and a copy of my invoice to V&H. Two days later I called V&H. Three weeks later I still haven't received a replacement pipe. V&H you could take some lessons from J&P.

I had these pipes on my last bike and they are top quality so I bought another set. Excellent chrome finish that held up very well without bluing over the 3 years I owned the bike.

I put these pipes on my Deluxe about 5 years ago. Love the look, wish they were louder. Took baffles out, it was horrible so put them back in. Pipe on left sticks out past primary and puts off a lot of heat near leg. I have burned my leg many times on this. Need to redesign to fit in closer around primary.

The look and sound is outstanding. Fairly simple install although V&H could better describe how to install on bikes with passenger footboards. I found that using a slightly longer mounting bolt on the left side solved all my alignment issues.

This system is fairly easy to install and sounds great, the only problem is that the left pipe over the primary sticks out too far ,and if your are not careful, you'll burn your left leg. and there is no way to tuck it closer. Vance Hines should find a way to bring it under the primary cover.

Important Exhaust Notes:

• Note: With any new exhaust, we recommend changes to carburetor jetting or use of an aftermarket fuel injection control module.

• There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers with regard to any discoloration. Blueing is caused by tuning characteristics, cam timing, carburetor jetting, overheating, etc. and is not caused by defective manufacturing. No refunds on exhaust pipes once motorcycle is started unless there’s a manufacturer’s defect.

• Flanges and retaining rings are not included with most aftermarket exhaust for 1984-2013 Evolution and Twin Cam models. Re-use your existing hardware, or purchase replacement hardware.
