Needed to notch the front of the aluminum bar to fit into the factory tank mount, the bend in the aluminum bar actually makes the wiring get a little crimped against the factory dash. If you purchase one of these, do yourself a favor and replace the ignition switch with a heavy duty one, the one in this unit basically vibrated itself apart resulting in a shower of sparks coming from under the dash while I was riding, not fun. I realize this all sounds bad, but overall it's a pretty good product, I just think they may be cutting a few corners....
Very easy to install. Some minor custom fab needed but very clean. This is my first wiring project and the easy to follow directions made install very smooth.
Great design in relocating everything w the switch, only received 2 pages of instruction but was easy to figure out with the ones provided stating what factory color wire to hook new wires to. This was on a 93 fatboy that has been customized several times and had a mutilated factory harness to say the least.
Havent wired it yet, but as long it works the set up is pretty nice.
Good kit just make sure you have three pages of intructions I only got two. The instructions can be looked at on the website if needed
Good kit however wiring diagram didn't come with a third page recieved it from J&P
The harness is very nice. The detailed step-by-step instructions are complete junk. They don't match Harley colors and are near useless.
Wire harness is a great design, and relocates the starter relay and all circuit breakers from behind the oil tank to under the dash on a Heritage making for easy access. The only problem is not all wires on the harness have the same colors as original, so it takes a little to figure out where some wires go. Overall, I would recommend this product for anybody doing a complete wiring harness upgrade.
