After I installed, according to directions, my bike started up okay. Paying the extra dollars compared to stock Harley part is well worth it. I highly recommend getting this part instead of Harley-Davidson. If you get the H-D oem part, you have to tow/haul your bike a shop to have the oem part programmed.
