I have been using a whistle like this for 10 years know. I have had very good luck with it and watch deer either stop or turn n go the other way. I also have put these on other bikers bikes and family's because of them riding with me and seeing how it works. I would tell everyone to put these on if traveling in deer country.

This was the second deer whistle I have purchased. The first one quit working and so did this one after about 1,000 miles on the bike. I would not recommend this product.

This thing works and it is based on first hand experience. Was touring out in Colorado this past July with some other bikes. One of the bikes in front of me came around a curve and there was a Deer in the middle of the road, after numerous revs and honks the "skitish" Deer moved off to the side of the road. Then I came upon it except I had the Deer Horn and it was ON and it seemed to freeze the deer in it's tracks. I'm not totally sure this is a "cure all". But in addition to paying attention, it can't hurt. Also, this is my second Deer Horn. The first one stopped working after the one year warranty ran out, and I am happy to say the manufacture replaced it for a minimal service and postage fee. Get one, it may save your life.

Easy to install the deer horn needs to mount on the front fork area & point forward and downward. It needs slight camoflauge as it looks like a trimmed male organ. Which might explain why there are no pictures of it. I found it upsets a normally agressive dog, but tames ones ignore it. It is audible to the human ear, but not obnoxious if you have a helmet on, I can not hear it when the bike is in motion. I have only seen deer leave the area when I am using it.
