The pluses: Nothing-to-it installation involving nothing more complicated than changing bulbs and a simple wiring splice. Also, the notion that a bulb should practically never burn out is a big plus.
The minus: If you're looking for a bulb that's brigher than stock, look elsewhere. These bulbs are no brighter, and maybe even a bit dimmer than stock filament-type bulbs. I'm a little disappointed with the visibility and hoped for more.
