Well after major modifications an bending the crap out it an drilling bolts holes bigger, it worked like a charm ,does what is suss to
close to the best money I spent on my bike. I don't have stock carb or filter so I had to bend a little but not much. way better than the piece of wire wrapped around the oil lines and top of the carb I paid $100 for the "Harley experts" who told me that's how it's done. My carb is solid now
It's a basic support strut for the Ironhead Sportster. One end is screwed down under a screw that holds in the camrod tube and the other end is screwed into your air cleaner so your carburetor has some support and does not succumb to gravity causing you to have carb farts or even worst the loss of your carb. Works great.
Aftermarket part needs to be modified in order to be usefull!! Bracket is very narrow and hole is too small to fit stud it's suppose to go over. BE PREPAIRED TO MODIFY IT TO FOT YOUR BIKE!!! After modification work great so far, however bracket is very thin where hole had to be bored. It still may break. Only time will tell.
This actually fits very well.
This air cleaner bracket did not fit the motorcycle. I had to modify the bracket significantly to fit. The bracket was also made of very thin metal and did not compare to the original equipment. I would not purchase this item in the future.
