Handlebars Measuring Guide

To identify your handlebar needs, we recommend measuring your current handlebar's dimensions as a baseline.

To most closely match the measuring system used on our site, we recommend the following method:

Push a table against a wall. Prop up the handlebars in the corner where the table meets the wall, then rotate the bars forward until the front of the bars touch the wall. In this case, rise is the distance from the table to the highest point on the bars, with pullback measured from the wall to the farthest point back.

Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Width: Measure between the two outside points of the handlebars.
Center Width: Measure between the two inside points of the handlebars.
Rise: Measure from the base of the handlebars to their highest point.
Pullback: Measure from the front of the bars to the furthest point back.

Additional Considerations:

  • Handlebars for Springer Softails are different than bars for other bikes. Learn More
  • We offer bars in two groupings by year of fitment — pre–1982 and later models. The differences are the result of a change of configuration in the switch housings. Learn More

Good looking bars, I am 5'6, they fit me good and look good on my SG, and wires were a easy to run

The bars are great! The quality is there and the wire openings are large and greatly reduced the effort and time to run the 2010 Street Glide wires internally. I had to go +4 on the all wires and the clutch. The fairing mounted mirrors are now useless, oh well. I had installed an FBI drop seat kit and the 12" KW sweepers ended up just a little too short. The 14" bars gave me plenty of height and reach to put my 5'11" frame back in a comfortable position again .
