Converting from the chain driven cams to the gear was a great investment. I was told that it would be nosier, but I found it to be just the opposite. The bike runs great and I no longer have to worry about chain tensioners wearing out and damaging my engine. I was a bit concerned about the adjustable push rods but have found them to be great also. If you add anything to your bike it should be this setup, if for no other reason but peace of mind.
A lot better than timing chain and tensioners. If you use this product you wont have to worry about the tensioners going out again. Way to go J&P!!!

This is the second one of these 510G kits I have installed. I put one on my 2001 Ultra Classic and this one on my 2005 Springer Classic. Both bikes are 88 cid and It's the best thing that you can install on them. It can get a bit confusing deciding which set of directions to follow (the H-D Service Manual or the S&S directions) but 90% of the time- you should follow the S&S directions. This 510G cam kit works Very Well with the K&N Air Filter Kit RK-3910-1. This K&N kit will work on injection and CV carburetors. (You should save time and add this kit to your J&P order too.) With the 510G cam kit--I would also recommend a set of slip-on Vance & Hines exhaust. You can run the S&S 510G kit on a totally stock bike, but why not release an extra 20-35 hp with a K&N air filter kit and some V&H slip- on exhaust? One more thing, get yourself some adjustable push rods while you are at it. This saves you the trouble of removing the gas tank and rocker covers too. ;) If I were to do a third Twin Cam bike, I'd just do one big J&P order: The 510G Cam Kit-(adjustable push rods) The K&N RK-3910-1 Intake Air Filter system and some Vance & Hines slip- on exhaust. This combination is hard to beat and my buddy's 2010 103cid CVO Ultra Classic cannot outrun me...ever!
s&s gear drive 510g is a very good kit gave my bike more power above 3000 rpm. plus no more cam changes to deal with. highly recommend product. put on 04 electra glide
A different bike! The 510 setup gives my Roadking TC-88 a very noticeable "get-up-n-go" attitude. Love it!

I purchaed these and had Kennedys in Oceanside Ca install them on my 04 Night Train. I did not expect much except to replace my blown tensioners.. I was very wrong, it woke up my bike. Love it, immediate reaction. I have this paired with a Dynojet carb kit. Hypercharger, and Bub pipes.

Added in conjunction with 95" cp pistons, s&s carb and ported heads, so not sure how much to attribute to cams, but I blame the cams for the torque. Mindblowing!! Easy to instal, spent extra time on gear lash, and started with less than half thou. crank runout, so I hear no gear noise.
Had these cams installed and are pleased with the performance so far.
