Great sound and looks!
I have been running this ThunderHeader for roughly ten thousand miles so far. It looks great, sounds great, improves performance compared to other pipes I've run from idle to wide open. The only issue I see is the finish cause a week after I installed the pipe I noticed surface rust over pretty much the entire pipe. Tried ceramic high temp paint but that didn't work so I have a feeling this beautiful pipe is going to be hidden behind some header wrap before to long.
Great header! I'd say the best! Looks as good as it sounds too

great quailty exhaust, install a little hard due to needing to drain transmission in order to install mounting bracket.
Runs great on my '99 electa glide. Not as loud as I had hoped and it was built up to be, but still a great performing system! In hindsight, I would have purchased Chrome instead though.
Bought these pipes on scrach and dent, BEST pipes I ever had! 91 FLHS wood W6 cam
Purchased for my 99 Electra Glide and about a year later I'm ready for something different. The pipes installed easy enough (though you have to remove the tranny cover to install a new bracket). But the black version has had terrible color fading and honestly, this system has never quite produced the sound i'm looking for. The horsepower is fine, but I really want a beefy throaty sound. This system is more middle-of-the-road as far as sound goes. Only real downside is the black fading. I'll stick with Chrome from here on out.
Thunderheaders produce extra power, without question, and they sound great. The big downside to the black pipes is the finish...it's horrible and I strongly recommend powder-coating or repainting (with VHT) prior to installation. Discoloration is only part of the issue, a bigger part is the rust that comes from shoddy paint. Heat shield may hide it, but they don't stop the rust, and that will quicly lead to blown out pipes. I have another bike with these pipes and they've been powder-coated, and they're many years old with no problem.
Unmatched torque. Perfectly engineered without the hassle of changing out discs. Sounds and looks amazing. Price is fantastic. All in all best pipes available.
Great product. Was so pleased with the exhaust I purchased for my Dyna that I had to buy some for my Street Glide! Nothing sounds like a Thunderheader.
product is not gloss black, good match to my black denim paint. if you have a 88 or 96 inch motor this is what you need.
now my bike sounds like a Harley!
now my bike sounds like a Harley!
These thunderheaders were just whatbi wanted. Deep, loud, thunderheader sound. I put them on a 13 road glide and install took less than 2 hours. Wouldn't change them for anything else. If you want to be heard, and have a good looking exhaust and added performanceget them and dont look back.
Put this pipe on my 2011 Road Glide. Not too difficult installing and love the sound and performance. I'm sure the black will burn off eventually but I can always touch up with hight temp paint. Had the chrome TH on my 2003 Heritage and loved it. I don't get the heat shields. You won't be disappointed with this exhaust system unless you're looking for show quality.
Excellent piece of equipment. A vast improvement in the sound of my ride and no more burned legs for my passenger on that top pipe!
Best fit for my bike and sounds great!
I absolutely love these pipes. They look great and my god do they sound good. Take note that if you are on the 103 that these pipes will be VERY hot. Not that other engines do not get hot but I have used these pipes on other engines and they didn’t throw off nearly as much heat. I would recommend getting the heat shields (sold separately).
