switches bad would not buy again
very pleased with this product and shipping speed.
Great product, wiring colors match factory schematics making for easy install
Bulky pvc wire wrap
Badly designed switches only made worse by shoddy manufacture. Brake switch is currently stuck, hi/low beam switch has fallen apart and kill switch will no doubt die in a similar manner. Wish I'd paid attention to the reviews on here.
Liked the wires, nice color coding exact match of factory wires but the switches were HORRIBLE i had to use my old switches because when done i had no headlights and the run/off switch didnt work either
got 18'' apes on the 77 shovel, this worked like a champ
Nice kit. Have 24" apes and bought these for the additional length.

The harness worked out great.Of course my bike is a '75 model so I had to spend 2 weeks UN-doing the creative wiring performed by some previous owner b4 it would work properly. For me the high point of my purchase was the PERSONAL assistance rendered me by your Harley tech when your saleslady was unable to assist me.Not that the saleslady didnt do her best (sweet lady) but the tech stepped in & hooked me right up with what I needed. THANK YOU!
I have bought 3 sets, most are steel wire 1 was copper wire. The push switches are rough with flash & have to be filed or the buttons won't fit. Tip put a dab of supper glue in the button hole then push the button on (I use a paper clip to apply the super glue).
Ordered this item to correct a problem with a previous order pn# 5000819 only to have the same problem with this item. Would not use again.
easy as pie
worked every well
Well-put together kit with enough extra wire length to accomodate most taller bars. Switches and buttons exactly match stock units. Only thing I didn't like was the wire is normal copper, not tinned like the factory wiring. Would help with corrosion should anything get wet. Otherwise an easy and economical way to renew the handlebar wiring.
Overall, I would say I'm pleased with the harnesses I purchased however I would have hoped they would have come with the terminals for my model so I would have had to splice the older harness. The splices supplied with the kit were adequate however I chose not to use them & instead purchased some additional non-insulated splices, used heat shrink for the splice & then used heat shrink again for the entire Harness where the splices were done.
