Dakota Digital Recalibration Module

• This module allows you to recalibrate any 1995-2007 OEM electronic speedometer when changing tire size, pulley, or final gearing

• Easy installation- simply plugs in between the pickup sensor and the stock wiring harness and allows small step corrections of less then 1 mph

• No power required to maintain calibration when bike is parked and two sealed buttons allow easy resetting of the speedometer reading while the bike is in motion

I put a 6-speed transmission in my 2003 FLSTC, so I had to re-calibrate the speedo. I thought it was going to be a pain, but this thing is pretty simple - just plug it in, hold the bike at 60mph, and push the buttons until the speedo reads 60. The best thing is to get a GPS to monitor your speed, and a passenger on the back to make the adjustments. Once I re-calibrated, I checked accuracy at every 10mph mark between 30mph and 100mph (bike could only get up to about 105mph, so I could couldn't check accuracy at 110! about 1mph off at the ends (30mph and 100mph, but the rest of the checks were dead-on.

Installed a Dakota Digital speedometer calibrator and it worked like a champ..... for about a week until one of the wires broke out of the module. I am willing to give DD a second chance and sent it back for an exchange.

The calibrator is easy to install and works perfectly. I also can adjust it any time I change tire sizes or the rear pulley. perfect for those of us who want a 6 speed like performance but can only afford to buy a rear pulley. and a this speedo for the correct speed reading. I sure as heck can not afford to get a speeding ticket.
