So far all is well with the transmission. Changed the 23 tooth sproket to a 24. and made a leak proof spacer for the main shaft. Working well.

• This transmission should not be used in models with factory final belt drives because the starter housing fitted to these vehicles will interfere with the ratchet top• Because the screws of the kicker cover are recessed, it will be necessary on all models to shim the stock battery box mounts with the spacer kit which is provided. On mid-shift FX models, it will be necessary to shim the brake pedal backing plate with the spacer kit provided• the shift pattern will be reversed when in mid shift models because it was designed for use with forward controls• The kick arm may interfere with some original equipment exhausts and will need to be replaced with a late-style ‘swing-out’ kick arm• This transmission is ratchet top type that can be subbed up to early 1984. It will work correctly in 1974-84 applications but have the earlier shift mechanism. Tranny case will work up to 1977 only
