I received the Rivera 6spd Gear Set from J&P Cycles SUPER FAST and in PERFECT condition! I did my homework on this one and came to the conclusion that: yes I could have bought a Baker OD6 or a DD6 but why would I want to pay $1500.00 more? I got a GREAT American-Made Gear Set from a VERY reputable and well-established company such as Rivera-Primo and am VERY happy with the quality of the product!!! Thank You again J&P.

this is the best gear set ever ,smoothest shifting ever ,smoother than a harley by far, had some problems at first but got it sorted out was not the transmission like i at first thought but turned out it was the mechanic that installed it ,i cannot stress this enough make sure you have a competent mechanic install it or install it yourself.i was able to figure out mine myself and fix it shifts beautiful .cant say enough about this transmission love it ,best 6 SPD for the money, hope this helps ,happy motoring brothers !!!!!!!!!...

Can't review,since you haven't shipped it yet

Installed 2 units one on softtail no problem use old top cover. But on my electra glide the oil spout needed a spacer to work, called Primo they knew of problem(DAH) also for exhaust bracket we had to make spacers behind to seal trap door, all in all nice product but gaskets are paper not good, use better ones for no leaks. So if order for electra glide you will need oil spacer to complete job should have come with it, also reused my old top cover.

I have almost 50,000 trouble free miles. I have 2000 FXR4 CVO with a S&S v111 motor. 118HP / 123TQ and a Scorpian Clutch. Shifts smooth and solid. If its noisy I cant hear it becauseI am going too fast. My original gearing was too tall. 5th gear 3000 rpm @ 80mph. I dropped tranny pulley from a 32 to a 30 then installed 6 speed. My final ratio in 6th is slightly higher than stock but now I have more gears to pick from at lower speeds. No longer chuggibg or reving motor in 5th gear at 55 to 65 mph. Extreemly happy

This is a really well manufactured 6 speed transmission gear set. I love the 0.86 final drive ratio and this gear set is smooth and shifts are much better than stock. The bike is smoother with less vibration on the highway.

Very good quality. Smooth shifting. The kit doesn't come with a new counter shaft end bearing(423-927).

Easy purchase, fit my bike very well and down my rpm about 450. Just a little noisy in third and fourth gear. I gonna change transmission oil and will see. Also fast delivery. Good

Glad I took it to some experienced people!! Instructions very vague...doesnt even tell you what weight of oil to use...fitment is not even close to exact..lot of mods to get it to work...3rd and 6th gears are loud..have to buy 120$ part to calibrate speedo..seems to run/go good down road..but description definitely does not prepare you in any way for what you are getting into...make sure you have someone who is very experienced to help you

fitted this 6 speed to my fatboy every thing went together like clockwork the only thing is now my speedo reads incorrectly

 berbj003 Posted:

not fitted yet but inspection shows quality machining and parts as well as everything required to fit not yet some kits that need more bits.

So far I am very happy with this gear set. I really like not have to run my bike at high rpms down the hwy.
