Very simple to install and set up. Tricky part is finding a place to mount it at for autotune.
Fp3 is good improvement to the performance of the bike. Little tricky first time setting up but all is good.
The FP3 is horrible, and V&H customer service is worse! My bike runs hot, has lots of decel pop. I've talked to customer service multiple times and gotten no help. The autotune doesn't work the cells don't go green even after 300 miles.
My bike and I could not be happier!!The fp3 is with out a doubt the greatest thing to ever happen to efi auto tune is what I,am running up hill head wind effortlessly love it THANK YOU
As many have noted there are some issue that need addressing. I purchased this pre-order so ive had it over a month. Throttle is inconsistent in the first .5" of turn, it lurches and on decel will in some cases complacently cut fuel . Tried several maps for Heavy breather AF and V&H classics but the results are inconsistent at best. Auto-Tune does not seem to work as others have mentioned. TBH I think they need to work out some bugs in the firmware. Even after serveral updates the problems persist. this is on a 2012 FLHD
The FP3 really is a great concept. With that said, V & H really has some work to do to make this product work as it is described. I've had mine on my bike for a month and have ran many different canned maps, including the one recommended by V&H. Some maps run better than others, but all of them have one thing in common: they all provide very inconsistent performance. One minute the bike runs fine, the next minute it's running very poorly - with a high amount of decel popping and trying to die at low speeds. Furthermore, the autotune feature does not work on my unit. And no it is not user error. The chart opens up but I can ride all day long and none of the squares color in. Lastly, the gauges work, but seem to be INCREDIBLY inaccurate - I'd like to think that my Harley puts out more horse power than my push mower does. I am going to contact V&H today to see if I can get a replacement unit.
The FP3 752-779 Fuelpak down loaded to the iPhone quickly and smoothly, responding to the supplied Vance and Hines installation instructions exactly as it should. Once installed for stock air filter and muffler conditions however, a significant, and consistent throttle hesitation/lurching and bucking occurs from the closed throttle position, (0) through 1/2" of throttle rotation regardless of engine rpm or vehicle speed. This is very disconcerting when slow maneuvers must be accomplished safely on graded parking lots or hilly urban streets. Further, it is currently impossible to maintain any consistent cruising speed (with motionless throttle) in high gear without what has to be mapping error induced hesitation and lurching response. Unfortunately, the unit will need to be returned for more work by Vance and Hines.
Good device. Really easy to remap the bike. I wish it were available on time.
The FP3 is awesome I uploaded the map for the 2103 Streetglide I have with high flow air filter and Vance& Hines slashcut exhaust. The bikes throttle response was better immediately. I am currently running Auto tune to see if there is any difference . Thanks for a great product!
Very easy to install. Works great. Wish they would have been available earlier and as advertised.
