(2005 HD Sportster 883) We gave this 4 stars because it is not as long as the original seat it replaced. Also, it gets extremely hot in the Florida sun and seems to lean forward (This could be because of the bike and is not noticeable once riding). So the looks are something you have to get used to. Other than that, the seat is comfortable and the backrest is nice. Looks great over all.
great seat, the backrest works great as well. seat will sit you up about another inch or so higher, and forward about 2 inches, so this will most likely make you want some forward controls if you dont already have them. im told it takes about 1000 miles to 'break in' a saddlemen seat, im at 950 and it still a bit firm to the touch but it does absorb alot of the shock from roads that used to give me a good hard jolt or two. the seat came ready to mount with all the hardware with it so i didnt need to transfer anything from the stock seat at all. the seat DOES NOT mount to the fender spike thats used for stock harley seats and has a cutout around where the spike is, this may look disconcerting at first but trust me, its gonna be OK. only thing the seat DID NOT come with is a new seat screw, so if youre mounting a fender bib/chap you will need to get an extra seat screw for it.
