Handlebars Measuring Guide

To identify your handlebar needs, we recommend measuring your current handlebar's dimensions as a baseline.

To most closely match the measuring system used on our site, we recommend the following method:

Push a table against a wall. Prop up the handlebars in the corner where the table meets the wall, then rotate the bars forward until the front of the bars touch the wall. In this case, rise is the distance from the table to the highest point on the bars, with pullback measured from the wall to the farthest point back.

Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Width: Measure between the two outside points of the handlebars.
Center Width: Measure between the two inside points of the handlebars.
Rise: Measure from the base of the handlebars to their highest point.
Pullback: Measure from the front of the bars to the furthest point back.

Additional Considerations:

  • Handlebars for Springer Softails are different than bars for other bikes. Learn More
  • We offer bars in two groupings by year of fitment — pre–1982 and later models. The differences are the result of a change of configuration in the switch housings. Learn More

Fairly easy install, need to be mechanically inclined. not sure how loss of vibration dampers will affect long distance trips as new bars come unthreaded and seems to be no inserts available to replace them in new bar. Great finish comfortable riding position.

They've been the best bars for comfort and looks in my opinion. Less fatigue in all areas cause of the buck horn design!
