Excellent mechanical design. After removing factory exhaust, it took about a 1/2-hour to install these pipes. Do recommend two people to handle the pipes during installation.

Beautiful finish. Fit like a glove! This took little time to install, although it is heavier than most exhaust, I installed it my self in very little time. Sounds great, but it is loud.

Not that hard to install, but you need a few special tools to get the sensors installed in the pipes, but after you hear the sound.. let's just say it is worth the effort and the price. GREAT Sound!! And look just as good.

these sound awesome and were very easy to install, when i took the bike to get it tuned the shop mechanic took me aside and told me that it would be better to gte the fuelpak from vance and hines instead of getting the bike dynoed everytime i change something

INSTALLED ON A VTX 1800 2003 HONDA. AFTER CALLING BACK ON INSTALLTION AND TOLD THAT THEY ARE HARD TO INSTALL. I GOT MY TWO SONS TO HELP AND SPREAD THE TWO HEADER PIPES APART TO GET THEM TO GO ONTO THE HEAD. WILL NOT BUY V&H PIPES AGAIN. NEED TO HAVE A COUPLER ON FRONT HEADER PIPE WOULD HELP VERY MUCH. BUT AFTER FIGHTING TO GET INSTALLED I LIKE THE SOUND AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PIPES

The V&H Big Shots make my '06 VTX 1300c sound like one bad SOB! Pair them with a hypercharger (or PRO-R Hypercharger like I did) and your adding some serious performance to your bike! You will love the deep throaty sound of these high quality pipes.

Great sound...don't need the quiet baffles. Nice tone when cruising, and a nice bark when accelerating! Paired with the Kury Pro-R Hypercharger, the bike is crazy!

All I can say is WOW!!!!! The look and sound is amazing compared to factory. Just putting the exhaust on was a jump in the performance of the cycle. That was without jetting it. After jetting, it was even more. Cannot wait to purchase the Kuryakyn Pro-R Hypercharger kit for it. Awesome

I appreciate the performance gains these pipes have provided. A bit on the loud side when accelerating. A great deep tone when cruising. Installation was not as smooth as the directions made it seem. Had to wrestle them for proper seating on the motor head. I wish I had ordered the quiet baffle at the same time to reduce the high end by 3 dbs or so. That would be perfect for my riding style and needs.

If you do not want loud pipes, dont order these pipes. i think they are freaking awesome and loud. Sleek styling and easy fit. Took less than one hour to install.

These pipes rock! The sound is deep rumble. You won't be sneaking around with these for sure. They really wake up the Mean Streak and make it live up to it's name.

These pipes look great, and sound good too, they are pretty loud with the baffles in, taking them out does not make much difference.
My biggest problem with these was the fit, the one piece design makes them a real pain to stretch over the ports, it took nearly all my strength, an I am a big guy ! The worst was still to come though, the mounting bolt holes on the pipes at the rear mount were a good 3/8" out, as the mounting is part of the pipes, and chrome, you cannot modify this without destroying the chrome, so I had to remove the Honda mounting bracket, and re-drill it to suit. With a bit of filling and the pipes off and on three times I got it to fit well - BUT WHY IS THIS NECESSARY ! Not what I expected from a long established company like Vance and Hines. If you choose these pipes dont expect a 20 minute bolt on fit like it should be !

These pipes look great on the bike, but they are TOUGH to install. It takes two strong men to mount this one piece system. Be prepared to alter the mountaing plate at the rear wheel. Also we had to remove the heat shield from the rear port/upper exhaust pipe to mount to ports. Now that I'm done, its worth it.

I really like the pipes. All the reviews I read about hard to put on are true and I needed 2 people and patience, be sure and remove right lower controls. I would recommend the quiet baffles and wrap, I am getting a little rattle from the back end. Altogether love the pipes and service. The above mentioned issues are things to be expected when customizing.

Bike sounds great and the install fairly easy. My only complaint was that the directions could have been written a bit better.
