I RECENTLY PURCHASED CHROME SWITCH HOUSINGS FOR MY 97 VT600 SHADOW,THE LEFT ONE INSTALLED WITHOUT MUCH AGRAVATION BUT THE RIGHT ONE WAS ANOTHER STORY. THE KILL SWITCH AND STARTER BUTTON WENT IN DIFFERENT THAN THE ORIGINALS BUT WENT IN,THE THROTTLE CABLES WENT IN THE BACK OF THE HOUSING INSTEAD OF THE BOTTOM LIKE THE ORIGINAL. THAT MADE THE CABLES TOO SHORT. I CALLED FOR DIFFERENT CABLES AND HAD NO LUCK. I ORDERED THROTTLE CABLES FOR A NEW VT600 THAT LOOKED LIKE THEY WOULD WORK CONSIDERING THE '06 BIKES GO IN THE REAR OF THE HOUSING BUT THE CABLE ENDS WERE NOT THE RIGHT LENGTH AND THEY DID NOT WORK!!!! FINALLY, TO INSTALL MY NEW HOUSING, I HAD TO USE THE ORIGINAL THROTTLE CABLES AND RUN THEM FROM THE HOUSING THROUGH THE PLASTIC NECK COVER INSTEAD OF THE FORKS. ALTHOUGH IT ISN'T AS ATTRACTIVE IT IS FUNCTIONAL.
I just ordered these for my VT1100 Shadow Spirit. They fit good. Really liked them and would make the purchase again any day. Great parts for they look and style plus money....
Good product, great looks, but had to file rough switch openings to get switches to go in and operate smoothly.
Man these are great...Nice fit and finish..They go great with my custom paint. Thanks
Fairly easy to install. looks very nice.
A bit pricey. But the chrome is of good quality and it works very well.
watch out for flying springs when you remove your stock housing , great quality housing I did have to drill a little bigger hole for the push pull throttle, the one they said fits my metric cruiser came with threaded holes instead of slip ins. pretty easy adaptation
