Handlebars Measuring Guide

To identify your handlebar needs, we recommend measuring your current handlebar's dimensions as a baseline.

To most closely match the measuring system used on our site, we recommend the following method:

Push a table against a wall. Prop up the handlebars in the corner where the table meets the wall, then rotate the bars forward until the front of the bars touch the wall. In this case, rise is the distance from the table to the highest point on the bars, with pullback measured from the wall to the farthest point back.

Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Width: Measure between the two outside points of the handlebars.
Center Width: Measure between the two inside points of the handlebars.
Rise: Measure from the base of the handlebars to their highest point.
Pullback: Measure from the front of the bars to the furthest point back.

Additional Considerations:

  • Handlebars for Springer Softails are different than bars for other bikes. Learn More
  • We offer bars in two groupings by year of fitment — pre–1982 and later models. The differences are the result of a change of configuration in the switch housings. Learn More

Two words: stay away. The way these bars are dimpled for the internal wiring causes the bars to not be round. The throttle would stick and stick bad when installed more than 1/2 way onto the bar. I thought I could nick it with my grinder to make it work, but I took off so much material that I don't feel safe using them now, and the throttle still sticks! Also no hardware included, and I had to tap out one of the thread holes because it was so messed up it wouldn't take the bolt. SO glad I didn't internally wire these before installing. Wish I hadn't taken the grinder to them as I'd return immediately. Do yourself a favor and buy some quality bars. I wish I had.

I have just recently installed these bars, I haven't had the chance to take a ride yet. I like the feel of the bars on the bike, but my only regret is that because of the amount of pullback on the bars they block the speedometer from clear view. I would have picked ones with less pullback if I had known how it would look, but thats the risk you take when ordering online. I know jpcycles would have returned them for me but I can live with it. The bars are drilled for internal wiring but I had difficulty getting the wires into the left side of the bars, due to the amount of wires there were. all in all I am happy with my purchase and jpcycles customer service is second to none

the bars look ok, not a very good plating job on em though. probably should have spent a little more money for better quality. i would not get these again.

High quality bars at very affordable price. Bolted right up to my Warrior. Wish I'd known about these before I paid a lot more for the Baron's Custom Radius Bars for my Suzuki.
