Harley's latest Big Twin, the Milwaukee-8 engine, was a leap forward for the American manufacturer, boasting both more power and smoother performance. The downside to being new is the limited number of aftermarket parts and accessories available. But buying a new motorcycle and changing out the exhaust go together like peanut butter and jelly, and to your good luck, J&P Cycles has what you need to awaken that monster M8. Exhaust upgrades are one of the most common DIY tasks a motorcycle rider takes on. Headpipes, slip-ons or full systems are swapped out in garages all over the world. There are few other upgrades that will set your bike apart from the rest in style, sound, and performance. How important is an exhaust note? Just ask Harley-Davidson! To get the most performance out of your ride, slip-ons are frequently paired with an air cleaner, head pipe, and fuel tuner/jet kit for carburetors. It all depends on how far you want to take it.

While choosing the right exhaust might be a bit intimidating, we are here to help with our Milwaukee-8 Slip-On Exhaust Note Shootout video where you can hear them before you buy. We installed slip-ons from Rinehart, Tab Performance, Vance & Hines, Crusher and S&S on our 2017 Harley-Davidson Street Glide. Most of these can be installed in 20 minutes or less and do not require an air/fuel update. Who's ready for more power? Stay tuned as we've got more how-to videos in the works and feel free to call our Rider Service Center for all your technical questions. Until then, let's hear those pipes sing!
