In this latest segment of J&P Cycles' Pro Tips, we tackle the topic of wide band versus narrow band O2 sensors. As gasses pass through an exhaust, 02 sensors actually sniff the spent fumes and determine what air/fuel ratio the motorcycle is running at, be it rich, lean, or just right.

If you have a bike built in the last 15 years or so then you probably have a fuel-injected machine. Which often begs the question - do I need a  fuel-injection controller? And that isn't exactly a yes or no question. It's a nuanced answer that depends on certain factors of modification and what state of tune you desire. No matter what FI controller you choose it's only as good as its O2 sensor. We break down the role of 02 sensors and whether you should run wide or narrow in our Pro Tip video.
