Description for J&M ROKKER XX Series 7-1/4″ Fairing Speaker Kit

J&M ROKKER XX Series 7-1/4″ Fairing Speaker Kit

• J&M’s ROKKER XX series 7-1/4″ speakers are the largest diameter speakers that can be installed into the Harley Road Glide style fairing, with cone volume and mass comparable to a 6X9″ speaker

• Spec’d at 2 ohms impedance and an impressive 217 watt maximum input (156w RMS), these speakers provide the ultimate in raw audio power

• This complete custom speaker installation kit has been designed specifically for the 1998-2013 Harley Road Glide Fairing

• On 1998-2005 models with a Harley factory radio system you MUST have an accessory amp with 2 ohm speaker impedance installed(Speakers are NOT for direct connection to the 1998-2005 Harley factory radio system)

• ROKKER XX series speaker kits feature a very thin, waterproof injection-molded polycarbonate driver cone, super high-density lite-weight Neodymium magnet structure specially coated to maintain flux-strength integrity even at extreme operating temperatures

• They have a high efficiency vented voice-coil and magnet structure for improved cooling when operating at high volume levels for extended periods

• Specially-tuned speaker-mounted crossover network for connection of optional J&M fairing or grill mounted tweeter and midrange drivers

• This system uses top-quality adapter rings/bracket hardware for secure and clean mounting into the fairing

• Hardware included to utilize the old or new designs of the Harley inside-fairing metal-brackets

• Also included are easy to install, adhesive backed, inside the fairing acoustic foam pads to help tighten up the bass and improve overall fairing audio resonance

• Important Note: For most 1998-2005 Road Glide fairings, when upgrading from the stock 5-1/4″ speakers to J&M 7-1/4″ speakers you will need J&M’s Road Glide speaker plate kit, 125-972

When they say plug and play they mean it. Pull the plug and 4 screws and the old deck slides out. Slide the new deck in, 4 screws and the factory harness plugs right in. All the stock handlebar controls still work and the stereo is easy to set up. Even a knuckle dragger like me got it done in under an hour. It's expensive but I think it's worth it.
