Regular Liner vs. Tall Liner

Our tall styles are for you if regular-sized shirts fit in the chest and shoulders, but the body length and sleeves are often too short. Tall Liner is 2" longer in the body & 1 ½" longer in the sleeves.

Measuring Tips

Here are some tips to help you order the correct size. If you don't have a measuring tape, use a piece of string and hold it alongside a ruler.  (for men, if you use your t-shirt size you should be right on)

Chest

Lift your arms slightly and measure around your body, crossing over the fullest part of your chest.

Waist

Measure the outside of your clothing at the waist.

Sleeve

Place your hand on your hip with your arm bent at 90 degrees. Measure from the middle of the back of your neck, across the shoulder, and down your arm to the wrist.

I returned this and spent the extra 30 bucks. Got the Gerbings one instead. Looks cheap and didn't have the juice to warm me up in the Pacific North West.

I carefully compared both the Gray heated jacket liner and the Red heated jacket with Gelanot waterproof membrane. I decided to go with the Red waterproof model on the expectation that if I'm wearing a heated jacket/liner, it's because I want maximum warmth, and the membrane will help keep the heated air inside. Fit: In size XL, they both fit virtually the same, and that is snug to the body with minimum extra material in order to give maximum heat to the body. Both models fit closer in the torso than the Gerbing's/Gyde jackets or the HD brand heated jackets that I tried on. I thought the Gerbing's/Gyde was too tight in the arms. At 6'2" and 245 lbs, I'm not skinny, but the closer torso fit of the Firstgear was better than the looser fits of the other brands. I use 37" sleeve length dress shirts, and the Firstgear jackets were long enough to cover my wrists and snug, but not tight, on the arms. That allows wearing my leather jacket over it easily. Heat: Both provide 90 watts of heat, which is plenty for riding in 20's to 30's degree weather I experienced the last few days in my area (on an Electra Glide)--and I didn't have the heat turned all the way up. As far as I could tell from carefully inspecting them, they are identical in heating wires, zones, connectors, etc. The only difference is the Red Jacket model has the waterproof membrane and the grey "liner" one does not.

Very Disappointed. Sleeve length is way too short for motorcycle riding. Product keeps you plenty warm but not for anyone wishing to use for riding. HIGHLY recommend the manufacture start making longer sleeves or a tall version. Other good product.

Awesome jacket liner works great

If you want to stay warm or hot look no further! In 15 degree weather not including windchill and 75+ mph speeds in Colorado winter snow I stayed plenty warm and only had the heat about halfway. This jacket will definitely keep you warm on those cold rides no matter how short or how long you ride. Great fit, and comfortable even after you get off the bike and are just walking around. A must have for year round riders in freezing weather and still want the ability to move comfortably instead of being bundled up.

works great and is a good fit. I don't need so many layers with this when I ride in the winter.
