This rear stoplight switch is of solid construction and heavily chromed. But be aware that it is too large in diameter to fit the mount correctly on a 1967 XLCH and interferes with the rear brake rod. Other late-1960s XLCH model may also be affected. It is a push-ON switch and the spring is extremely stiff, which is also problematic. For a working replacement, a GM (Cadillac CdV, PontiacBonnev, Olds98) brake switch from the late 1960s thru mid-1980s makes a good substitute, though it's not chromed and may not be water-resistant.
