Detailed instructions did not come with the product, you'll want to go to the manufacturer's website and download them. Not only do you have to drill out the riveted on stock starter ring but will have to drill out the holes in the clutch hub as well. Not a huge deal but it's nice to have the instructions that tell you things up front. Other than that I would say the bike is starting incredibly easy and fast, however I replaced my starter at the same time that I changed to this gear set. The bike starts just as fast as I can hit the start button.

Very well made replacement gear set..read carefully,15% torque increase over a 66 tooth gear, not the 102 tooth.Works very well for me,seems to crank a bit faster than stock 102 tooth I had...And the bevel edge faces away from the pinion gear, not towards it..not clear in the instructions, but wasn't a big deal.
