The bottom line on this product is that they fit and perform exactly as stated. The Quiet Baffles "take the edge" off the exhaust noise but my Road King still "sounds like a Harley" during normal riding conditions. When you get on the throttle, the bike still "barks" like it should. There has been no noticeable change in performance since installing the Quiet Baffles. The installation instructions and diagram need some improvement. I contacted the manufacturer and learned that the Quiet Baffle is inserted into discharge end of the existing baffle until it contacts the first punched louver. (This put the Quiet Baffle about 3 inches inside my Rinehart baffle.) The longer inner tube of the Quiet Baffle goes in first and points toward the engine. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to rotate the new baffle until you can see the threaded hole through one of the louvers and get a measurement from the end of the old baffle. Find a spot that misses the louvers and drill the first hole at the correct distance from end of the old baffle. I wrapped a piece of masking tape around the old baffle and marked the center of the hole through the two overlapping layers of tape. Remove the tape and put a mark half way between the marks on the tape. Place tape back on the baffle and drill the second hole 180 degrees from the first hole making sure that it is the same distance from the end of the baffle. Follow the instructions to secure the Quiet Baffle and reassemble the muffler. Since the Quiet Baffle is inside the existing baffle, it does not interfere with original muffler tips. I am completely satisfied with the Smartpartz Quiet Baffles and highly recommend them as a solution to reduce the noise level of an after market exhaust system.

The baffle insert worked after some modification. I could not get the original baffles out of my rineharts. Rinehart does a press fit with high temp red silicone from the factory that makes removing the baffles impossible without destroying them. Instead of returning the user inserts I fabricated some set screws and purchased a tiny ratchet to be able to insert the baffles and lock them in. The sound of the exhaust is quieter so I can now hear the radio better. I mapped the ecm with a map for the user baffles after installing them. I am on a weekend trip for the 4th of July and so far so good. Before purchasing these I would make sure you can remove your baffles to install these.

Product did not fit as advertised and was not compatible with the Rhinehart Tips and I would have had to drill holes into the existing baffles and again could not use my RhineHart exhaust tips. I ordered the Smartpartz Quiet Baffle specifically for my 2000 Deuce FXSTD and it was advertised as a "fit" for my aftermarket RhineHart exhaust.....returning to J and P today. Disappointing, I was hopeful about this product.
