I'm giving this three stars for one reason. It fits on my '71 XLCH, I was able to thread it under the oil tank (barely) and I had to move some elecrical system components to get it installed, but that's not the real problem. What is the real problem is that I had to take a file and an angle grinder to the end of the mount on each side to get the recommended V-twin footpeg (per the V-twin website) I bought to fit and be able to fold up so I could kick start the bike.

Saddlebags made the stock rear pegs unusable. This fixed it just fine. Doesn't really need to be chrome down next to the road, I'll probably paint it black if it is hard to keep looking good.
