Best tire in my opinion. Ordering my second set just to have

zallthat

I tried the Michelin Commander II tires on my 2004 Road King during my last tire change @ 105K miles. I had previously gone with Dunlop D402F (FRONT) & MT90r16 M/C 72H (REAR). The Dunlop's gave me 6k miles on the rear and 12k miles on the front. These Michelin Commander II tires have given me 15K+ miles on the the front and rear with plenty of tread still available. They handle just as well as the Dunlop tires but give you a lot more durability and wear life. I highly recommend these over Dunlop simply because of the $$ savings. I'm using the COMMANDER II 130/90B16 73H (FRONT) & 140/90B16 77H (REAR).

nice looking tire.

Rides like a Different Bike! Huge improvement

tm36176

I have a 2003 V star classic 1100 I replaced the tires in 2013 with The Commander II and put balance beads in the tires and have ridden hard for 3 seasons and have put about 18,000 miles on these tires and I am putting new commander II on this winter, I could get another season out of them but I decided to change them now because I had the wheels off for routine maintenance. I love the ride and control this is a completely different bike with these tires and the price is right and there was no cupping on these tires. I won't uyse any other tire on my bike

IALAW1955

I switched from the stock Dunlop 402 to the Michelin Commander II. I went to the same road, same place, I thought the Dunlop made a grinding noise like a bearing out. Although I replaced the bearings when I put on the Michelin, the old bearings seemed fine. Went around the same corner with the Michelins and it was smooth as silk...not squirmish, no weird noise, like it was on a rail. I'm getting Michelin for the rear next time too.

Front tire for Vaquero or Voyager, try it, you will love it........ soooooooo much better than OE Bridgestones that made it handle like a Harley.

gndfac

Excellent tire, it is best tire i have riden. (HD Dunlops, Mettzler 880s, Avon Venom. These are by far the BEST and as advertised pretty much double the milage compared to competitors. These are the only tires i will run, unless they come out with a better one, which not sure if that is even possible.

bobalue

Brand new bike....great control

rush50

Read all the reviews ask people who were riding on them people said nothing but great thing . Replacing my Dunlap Elites O.E.M H.D.style tires on my Heavy 90 Ultra Classic ordered and Install front and rear added Ride-on self balancing sealer. I was Skeptical if the ride and performance of non O.E.M. tires or all hype 1st off a 20 mile test ride Smoothest and quiet ride ever on this bike and handle like a dream and stop great (OK I am impressed) returned home pickup my bride/riding partner of over 30 years for a 2 up test ride and 300 miles later we agreed it was not the same bike smooth ride quiet tires no more road reflector banging no crack loud popping no road/bridge transition hit or road seam chasing / tracking This is what a touring dresser should ride and handle like. OK next the higher mileage and rain claims report back later

This is my first commander II front tire. Been running Commander II rears for some time and love them. I like the way the bike handles and hope the endurance of the front tire is equal to the rear.

Wow - big difference over the Bridgestones and the Metzlers. Put them on and immediately went cross country - 3500 km. The front end no longer lunges at small cracks and repairs in the highway. I am VERY impressed.

Johnfure3

My tires showed up in a couple of days and they hold the road in really wet conditions.

emtp435

Best price online and great tires! Much better than OEM Dunlops. Usually get around 15k on the rear and 20k on the fronts. Handle great in all weather!

MannysFLSTN

Best tire ever! I put these tires on a fatboy that I goot rid of last year. I still remember the huge improvement in comfort and handling over the original tires. Unfortunately I now have a Softail Deluxe and since they're not available in whitewalls I will have to go with another tire,bummer......

bearsonly

robdunbar

I have a 2003 FLHTC with 80,000 miles,I've always run stock Dunlop tires they didn't last long have 2500 miles on the Michelin commander II 300 of that is in rainy conditions on back roads am very pleased with the overall handling of these tires time will tell if they last longer

bcbuch

No 5 stars at this point. I was ding a tire swap to get rid of the Elite WWW's on that I had on the bike. Decided to try the Commander 2 in black wall. A little misinformation on J&J's site had me putting a black wall Elite on the back and a Commander 2 on the front. First impression is that the side walls are not going to last as good as the Elite I had on the front. They are much lighter than the tire I took off that had over 5000 miles on it. Time will tell.

RjClark

Great tire, with about 350 miles on it it's starting to "break in" and the wax is letting out, ride is noticeably better than the OE Dunlop it replaced.

wch22630

I received the tires very fast as with all J&P orders. The tires look fantastic, I have not had a chance to mount them on the bike

doug1709

love this tire !!!

Gobbles113

What can I say about this tire? Endless! However, I will get to the point in which not everyone will want to read long reviews. Stable, gripping, smooth, and responsive are the four things I can sum up. Before I put on those Michelin Commander II tires, I was only getting 38-39 MPG. Now? I get 42-43 MPG consistently in 2700 miles so far. Heck, I have saved 8 gallons of gas money returned in my wallet--it means something to me on the return of investment in fuel I have saved after the purchase of those tires. I bid y'all a wonderful and kick butt riding season.

toutcalt

handling is a little squirrly at the manufacturer recommended tire inflation levels for me on my FLHTCI about 4-5 LBS les was much more stable. I have around 500 miles and the nubs are still on. They stick like glue on wet roads all around better value then any other M/C tire I have ever used. I am a 35yr veteran rider and have tried all tires these seem to have the characteristics to last for 10K or better miles. Great tire great buy ever from JP Cycles.

johnblechajr

Exactly what I was looking for from a fit and style. Tires were recommended to me from several other riders and after riding them for the last week they handle great and the ride of my glide is extremely smooth.

reillybp

The price and delivery time can not be beat. I only have a little over 100 miles on the tire. They look good and have a deep thread so I am hopeful the milage and grip in the rain are as advertised.

adambogart99

Excellent so far! I have only ridden about 500 miles, but they handle great in the turns. The ride is also noticeably smoother. I have used Dunlops, Metzeler, and Avons in the past, if these last as long as they say, I will never look back.

hjstout

Great look and rides good

jhbrown

Great Service and Great Tire!!! Have received lots of comments on how good they look on my 03 Road King!

mwobeser

Great deal! Thanks!!!

shilgeman

GREAT TIRE!!!!

scooper321

This was a great deal on a very highly rated tire. Arrived quickly and got them installed. It's still early, so it's hard to say anything about their performance, but they are way better than the used Dunlops they replaced! (lol) But so far, so good. Very stable on the road; no hint of being pulled due to ruts, grooves, or other imperfections.

TrmptPlyr

Best price, quick delivery.

mwwolcott

great looking

rastaman14

Great price! Excellent tire!

lpchamness

An okay tire, but does not give extended mileage as claimed. Mileage is about the same on my FLHTCU as the stock Dunlops, and grip in wet conditions is not as good.

lauriegal

great ride even in wet condition: this is my second set (different bike) and I'm very pleased. Service and delivery were AWESOME!

teri.allen33

This tire gives A great ride!

Ers0429

Awesome tires

Phillip2007

Don't know about how well they last but my bike handles better than it ever has before. Rough and uneven roads that used to jerk aren't even noticeable.

Edokun1

This is the best reviewed tire for my bike - arrived quickly and I really like the tread pattern!

GUARDDOG56

Replaced the stock Dunlop 404s on my VN900 classic with a 130/90B16 front and 170/80B15 rear. New tires look great -- performance unknown as the weather won't cooperate for a test ride. The old rear measured 24.8 inches in diameter with a 6.5 inch width. The new Michelin rear measures 26 inches in diameter with a 6.75 inch width. The old front measured 25 inches in diameter with a 5 inch width. The new Michelin front measures 25.7 inches in diameter with a 5.38 inch width. All measurements were taken with the tires mounted and inflated. I can see no issues with the larger/taller rear on the VN900.

gmurphy5608

Easy to purchase a set of tires at lone star rally tent in Galveston, tax. A couple of friends with me also found items they liked and made purchases

Billy Bottoms

I have been running on these for a week now and these tires are heaven. I've been running the dunlop 404s for years and these Michelins are in a whole different league. I will review again when I can speak of the mileage.

Grizzly57

great tire great prise

tm36176

after installing these tires it was like riding a new bike. they just glide through the turns and have a very smooth ride, and the service at JP cycles is absolutely awesome

MOHairr

Just put 2500 miles on new Michelin Commander II front tire. Have over 14,000 miles on my Commander II rear tire and still going strong. Mileage on these tires is very good compared to my previous Dunlops and Pirellis. Tires run quiet with great dry grip. Wet grip is ok.

jalucch1

1300 mi and it still has the nubs on the tire. I do not notice the tar snakes as much as the avons

unkaz

Great Tire the best till now

Dooba

sofar good tire smooth ride ill see how this tire ware

esteinhauer

I like these tires

bigphil454

First 500 miles are excellent! Great ride, great cornering, good braking.

Q234

This tire was shipped incredibly fast and the price was unbeatable!

Nix Gnade

no vibration at any speed and handles nice. got worried as it shipped on seperate package and came day after first part of order. J&P was quick to let me know it was going to be next day when I called. guess I needed a stupid card in first package to let me know it was still on the way LOL.....

TERRY MILLER

I had about 1000 miles on my new Michelin Tires when I left for a three week 4200 mile road trip. there is an unbelievable difference between Michelin's and Dunlop handling. I prefer Michelins by far. Better handling, and longer wear. FLHTPI 2006

jongam123

great tire and great price !!

shadz

outstanding tire

dshalz

well, so far so good. leaving on a trip in 12 days will let u know more about the tire when I get back.

GDeLong

have only had the tire on the bike for about 100 miles but so far it's improved the handling on the bike and had reduced the vibration by about 10%. all in all wonderful product.

MOEPARR

TIRE RIDES VERY SMOOTH AND HAS GREAT CORNERING ABILITY

Rick St.V

I have been a Dunlop rider for 40 years. I purchased the Michelin because of a recommendation from a friend and have been more than satisfied. The Michelin has better wet condition handling and more dry grip.

Don Ho

Easy to install , look and sound great

dantiff2

These are great tires that ride smooth, quiet and stick to the road!

kf7iyn

Went on 500 mile w/wife the next day after mounted these tires( F and R ), great ride, grip, and cornering. Can't wait to see how long they last on 2002 Ultra !

Hola

Great prduct very pleased with it all.

awolbach

Recently bought a set of these for my 06 Electra Glide. These tires track straight regardless of road surface. No wiggle like the stock Dunlops over some surfaces. They are far superior in the curves of East Tennessee. Wet weather performance and tread life are yet to be seen but I love these tires in the first 1200 miles.......Al

burnhamkenneth

This is the best and shipping was FAST!!!!!

johninwaegwan

Awesome! I fell in love with my Softail Springer all over again. If I hadn't experienced it I would not have believed my bike could be so smooth and handle so well.

sandjunky

I've had this tire on my 2004 Harley Davidson Fatboy for a week. so far the tire seems to have good grip and rides well in the rain. The Michelin Commander has a smooth comfortable ride.

mmazzone25

Tire is just what I expected! Good quality at a very good price!

north ferry choppers

great tire

scots_wrst

I've only put 200 miles on them but they feel great!! Hope they last longer than the Dunlops.

koolaidzx2

Outstanding tire, great price and fast delivery.

joe2shiff

2nd set, best milage

drjackpasula

Great feel and control under any conditions. .feel much more sure about every turn

John Frakes

g.rod8824

woodyard75

squawkingsparrow

best tire, best ride for the money, handle wonderfully

jimbeam3955

i love the Michelin tires and how they handle. will continue to purchase them

Rhasta

The Commander II tires are the best tires I have ever used on a motorcycle. They hold the road like the bike is on rails. They also have incredible traction on wet pavement.

chriscreekmore601

Very happy with nthe look and preformance

yahkster

I bought these tires at J&P and as always the deliver time was excellent Ive had this tire on now for 2 days and i have to say I love them already. My last set was the Dunlap ex3 and after 2 days I already like these commander 2s better. Thanks for fast service J&P and a great quality product

bl6092

Tire looks great Have not yet got them mounted but will soon.

onefatboy

I got front and rear Commander II at the same time I only have about 300 miles on them now very smooth ride ,but in 3 weeks I have a 2700 mile trip planed I'll know more then.

T-Bar

Thanks J&P Cycles for a seamless online ordering and a less than expected, 3 day delivery to my door. I have owned many types of road bikes from cruisers to sport bikes and tried nearly every kind of tire, up until now, Continental Road Attacks were my favorite. I can’t attest to the reputed “longer life” as I have only put about 1,800 miles on these Commanders but I will say I love the ride, the feel and the handling on any road condition from hot and dry to cool and wet, concrete to asphalt and hard pack dirt through “tar and chip”. Even the grooved pavements of Ohio’s new Craig Bridge on I-280 over the Maumee River or the crazy surface of Michigan’s Mighty Mack on I-75 left me confident of these tires. I’m pretty positive these will be the tires for me and my Road King for a long time to come.

harley10-2010

Ordered on Monday, products (minus one backorder item) delivered on Friday. Excellent!!

jonmccalip

Great value, I have not put many miles on them yet But so far they are way better than the stock dunlops that came with the bike.

robertemond

They ride smooth, great traction in tough rain and look great. Thanks!!

silverjay1

excellent tire - and it was cheaper than the Dunlop 402 !!!

RKisloski

great tire. great price

rs1030

So far, so good. Put about 400 miles on them this past weekend. Performed well. Can't wait to see how long they last.

rooster2k9

Thought I would try these to replace the original Dunlops. 1500 miles in two weeks plus a hard run thru The Dragon. So far I love 'em.

billgade1

Just installed tires. I'm waiting to see how they perform and see if they meet advertised mileage ratings.

NiteWolf383

great price on a great tire
