So I ordered the 10-in bars because I was told there was no other modifications needed to put them on. I got the bars on barely. Everything I looked at paper-wise and the foam around the bars says they're 10-in. I measured them and they show 12 inch. I now have to change my clutch cable brake line and throttle cables. They are stretched to the max.

Installed these on a 2005 Fatboy and they are great. Easy install, and allowed wires to run internally. They measure out about 12" higher instead of 10". You will need longer cables and wires for this install.

Used these bars in the past. And once again using these on a Heritage Softail with a fairing awesome fit. Highly recommend. If working with Heritage or Fatboy and putting a fairing on you can't go wrong.

Great bars. Put my hands just above the faring. Look more like 12" than 10".

Handlebars Measuring Guide

To identify your handlebar needs, we recommend measuring your current handlebar's dimensions as a baseline.

To most closely match the measuring system used on our site, we recommend the following method:

Push a table against a wall. Prop up the handlebars in the corner where the table meets the wall, then rotate the bars forward until the front of the bars touch the wall. In this case, rise is the distance from the table to the highest point on the bars, with pullback measured from the wall to the farthest point back.

Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Width: Measure between the two outside points of the handlebars.
Center Width: Measure between the two inside points of the handlebars.
Rise: Measure from the base of the handlebars to their highest point.
Pullback: Measure from the front of the bars to the furthest point back.

Additional Considerations:

  • Handlebars for Springer Softails are different than bars for other bikes. Learn More
  • We offer bars in two groupings by year of fitment — pre–1982 and later models. The differences are the result of a change of configuration in the switch housings. Learn More
