Easy install and the chrome is excellent. The only small problem I had was that I had to find my own bolts (4) for upper bracket that bolts to the fender brace, but this is mentioned in the instructions for older FLH's like mine. Good product and would purchase again.

The KromeWorks trailer hitch worked great. The design is solid and transfers the weight to the frame in two directions. I'm impressed with the design and the manufacture. Extremely pleased.

Hitch was easy to install. Directions supplied showed different years for the fitment but a quick check with the company revealed that they had not been updated. As with any part that has multiple bends that attaches to another part with multiple bends a couple of the mounting holes required "GENTLE" pressure to force the alignment. As a mechanic and engineer this was not unexpected however for the inexperienced do it yourselfer, I recomend enlisting the help of a friend with assembly experience. P.S. Never install a part that has been chrome plated without first using a tap and die set to chase ALL of the threads before assembly both on the part and any new nuts or bolts provided with the kit. This little tip will save you a lot trouble and money when adding chrome to your ride.

Received and installed Khrome Werks™ rrailer hitch. Installation was straight-forward and relatively easy however when installing item 701-675 along with this, there was not enough wire supplied to be able to connect the recepticle to the bikes wiring harness even when connecting item 300-077. Considering that this is a 5 wire installation, there should be no less than 25 ft. of wire supplied instead of just the single 10 ft. provided.

Fit and finish of the hitch are real good however in the catalog it states "The tongue weight of the trailer when attached to the hitch must not exceed 10% of total trailer weight and contents; tongue weight not to exceed 40 lbs." On the hitch it has a sticker that says "Max trailer weight 400 lbs. Max tongue weight 30 lbs" Rule of thumb with a trailer is the tongue weight should be as close to 10% of the total weight of the trailer as possible. Much more critical on a bike than on a car/truck. So the max capacity of the hitch is really 25% less than advertised which kinda ticked me off. Though not hard to install the instructions that came with it were useless. All in all I just got home from a 3,000 mile trip hauling a 300 lb trailer and experienced no problems with the hitch.
