Customer Reviews for J&P Cycles® Replica Rigid Rear Fender

Overall Rating:

Fender needed some finishing. Where the two halves meet, I had to grind the ends to get the parts to join properly. Since I was putting it on a different bike, I figured on doing some fab work already. Had I been doing a proper restoration, I would have chosen a higher priced option or original but for what I wanted, I felt this fender did just fine. It is definitely not perfect, but I got it on the scratch and dent rack at JP. That said, I feel I got a good deal, even with working it a little before paint.

Fender did not fit at all, would have taken extensive work to make it fit and look good.

2 by

Sharp edges that had to be filed down. The hinge is somewhat sloppy (a lot of play). The overlap on both sides of the hinge are completely uneven. Overall fit of the hinged part and the main fender were off enough I considered sending it back. Decided to just weld the two pieces together and continue on with the build.

2 by

very rough finish to bare metal, very poor fit, needs reshaping of radius, no mounting hardware

3 by

Useable. Price Matches the Quality (low). Sharp edges, loose hings and fender overlap at hinge area.
