Love these on my 2008 V-Star 1100 Classic / Make the bike stand out from others big time / Better comfort when riding

Excellent, thick bars. I installed them on an 02 Sabre, and they look great. Two caveats to Sabre buyers, however. One, you will have to drill two holes into the underside of the bar when you mount the electrical assemblies. Don't worry, they'll be covered up. Two, you'll have to reroute all of your wiring and brake line so that they'll reach, or buy a new set of cables and such. Research suggests that the Spirit cable set suffices, if you can find one, but do your own research. All in all, I love the bar. It's a good investment.

Handlebars Measuring Guide

To identify your handlebar needs, we recommend measuring your current handlebar's dimensions as a baseline.

To most closely match the measuring system used on our site, we recommend the following method:

Push a table against a wall. Prop up the handlebars in the corner where the table meets the wall, then rotate the bars forward until the front of the bars touch the wall. In this case, rise is the distance from the table to the highest point on the bars, with pullback measured from the wall to the farthest point back.

Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Width: Measure between the two outside points of the handlebars.
Center Width: Measure between the two inside points of the handlebars.
Rise: Measure from the base of the handlebars to their highest point.
Pullback: Measure from the front of the bars to the furthest point back.

Additional Considerations:

  • Handlebars for Springer Softails are different than bars for other bikes. Learn More
  • We offer bars in two groupings by year of fitment — pre–1982 and later models. The differences are the result of a change of configuration in the switch housings. Learn More
