This appears to be a solid piece of equipment, but I don't like the brutish ring affect it makes around the radiator of my 2003 VTX 1800C. More importantly, it required removal of the painted lower scoop body trim under my radiator. Removal of the scoop exposes the lower radiator hose to an unprotected forward position under my bike. I'll keep this highway bar as a back up, but I'm not fond of giving up an important piece of trim, and I don't like the aesthetics.

As always I am Happy with J and P Cycles excellent customer service and fast deliveries. I bought these bars for a 2004 Honda VTX 1800C. I was disappointed at all the items you need to dis-assemble to put them on and their use of spacers in the installation. The directions were awful. But the worst part is, they don't fit a 2004 Honda VTX 1800 C because the right side bottom bracket does not clear the brake line and the brake line guard. It doesn't look like much thought went into the engineering of these bars. The other troubling thing I found was the outside edges of the bars appeared like they would be way too far forward on the bike. Doesn't matter though, they won't fit the above mentioned bike any way. J and P Cycles did a great job to get these returned and a proper set of bars ordered.
