A good friend of mine gifted me the iconic frame and the man who inspired the frame is what inspired me to build the bike. Indian Larry. And of course, choppers are just rad, you don’t really need a reason to build one.
It's kind of an expensive bike when you start adding up the parts. I have been buying and stashing parts away for over five years for this bike. I probably have $15,000 in the build.
It took me around six months to build once I had really started to work on it. Not sure exactly how long but hundreds of hours for sure.
The carbon fender was meant for a bagger so it had to be cut and fit quite a few times. And I had to fabricate the aluminum fender struts to hold it; as well as cut, fit, and weld on the bungs to bolt it to the frame. The standard chopper mounts and tabs had to be fabbed and welded. Things like top motor mount, rear brake tab, seat hinge mount and kick stand all had to be fabbed and welded on. The wheel hubs required some light machining because they were meant for a bagger and of course wheel spacers had to be made.
