Custom Yamaha Bolt

The Yamaha Bolt has proven itself many times over as a extremely versatile platform and this collaboration between J&P Cycles and Low and Mean is a shining example. The rather standard looking machine was transformed into a brat style build with some clear chopper influences. It all starts with the stance of the middleweight cruiser, up front a few degrees of rake were added via some custom triple trees in order to fit the new 21" front wheel, while out back a lowering kit and a set of Burly slammers really set it in the weeds. With the addition of the slammed rear end a wider 200 series tire and wheel were slipped magically into the stock swingarm and both wheels wrapped in Avon rubber. A set of Biltwell Keystone bars kept things comfortable and a bit chopper up top while a chin scoop was added to the lower part of the frame for style points. The quick little bike got some added grunt by breathing in through the Low and Mean intake and out through the Vance and Hines Competition series muffler. It all comes together to make rad little bar hopper that quickly turns into the topic of conversation at the local watering holes.
