ODS has been constructed to defend your brain against a wider range of impact energy, specifically the low-threshold energy seen in most off-road accidents. This low-threshold impact energy is often the leading cause of concussions and second impact syndrome. Independent lab tests also substantiate the substantial decrease in angular acceleration energy with ODS, the leading cause of detrimental rotational brain injury.

The enhanced performance of the ODS technology unique to 6D reduces concussion likelihood over traditional helmet designs. Even though no helmet can fully insulate you from potential impacts or injuries, the 6D ATR-1 is designed to offer active free-motion within its protective liner, surpassing current helmet standards.

The ATR-1 introduces the distinctive Air Gap cooling system. This advanced system includes 13 interior transfer ports, 8 intake ports, and 5 exhaust ports. The attention to detail to ensure optimal air flow within 6D Helmets is unparalleled. Extensive internal ventilation channels contribute to the front-to-back airflow, served by 3 large upper eyeport intake ports and 2 robust brow intake ports. Alongside chin bar vent inlets, these vents channel refreshing air into the ATR-1’s air gap, flushing out hot air and moisture through the rear of the helmet.
