John Parham loved motorcycles. He loved them so much, he dropped out of community college after one year and started selling used Harley-Davidson parts at swap meets around the Midwest. While at a swap meet one day in the 1979, he spotted a 1955 Harley-Davidson FLH with the iconic Panhead motor. This was the motorcycle of his dreams and it was love at first sight. To John, this was more than a motorcycle, it was the vision for his new company J&P Cycles. The seller wanted $2,400, which was more than John could afford. But when he received an unexpected tax refund check, he spent it all to get the Panhead. The first thing he did is restore it to its original yellow color. The same yellow he used for the original J&P Cycles logo. The yellow Panhead has become a symbol to everyone who knew John, and fans of the J&P Cycles brand. A symbol of the first bike they fell in love with. The first bike they ever bought. The first bike they ever restored or customized. This limited edition J&P Cycles collaboration with Dixxon Flannel celebrates the eternal love affair between man and machine. Today, thousands have seen John Parham's yellow Panhead on display at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa.
