Hot Rods offers high-performance connecting rods, suitable for repairing your OEM or Hot Rods branded crankshaft. Made in the USA, these rods are forged from 8620 case-hardened AISI steel. Precision is of the utmost importance, with bores hardening and finishes honing to the micron. Their bearing surfaces are double-honed ensuring reliable smooth operation at high RPM. The rods feature a double-drilled small end and have oiling grooves for increased lubrication. The crank pin included is made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case-hardened to a level of 58–62 Rc. For Polaris twin-cylinder engines, two kits per vehicle are necessary.
