Pro Taper's patented design omits the conventional crossbars through the use of an oversized diameter on the handlebar. This unique concept allows the handlebar to effectively absorb impacts, offering a significant improvement over the usual 7/8" bars. The intentional flexibility of the bar reduces rider fatigue and enhances comfort. Despite its notable flexibility, the oversized diameter at its clamp area ensures the handlebar's structural integrity. The Contour handlebar is constructed using computer profiled 5mm wall design, thus allowing it to be 20% lighter and 40% more resilient than most bars on the market.
