What does CE Certification mean?

Limb Armor 1 EN1621-1:2012

There are two main CE standards relevant to impact protection: 

EN1621-1:2012 Covers limb protectors (shoulders, elbows, knees & hips)
EN1621-2:2014 Covers back protectors

Armor is certified at either CE Level 1 or CE Level 2. It’s tested and assigned a rating based on how much impact energy reaches the body, a metric known as transmitted force. Lower transmitted force = better overall protection.

What does CE Certification mean?

AA EN17092-2:2020

What Is The CE Rating? The CE mark certifies compliance with strict European safety laws. To earn it, gear has to pass EN 17092—an independent lab test for for abrasion, seam strength, and tear resistance. After that, it’s assigned a specific protection class (A, AA, or AAA).

So, CE is the stamp of approval, EN 17092 is the specific test, and A/AA/AAA is the score.

Roland Sands Women's Atherton Seventy4 CE Leather Jacket has a taste of the classic motorcycle jacket that offers a protection the originals didn't. Constructed from premium buffalo leather with a perforated leather collar. Features a removable quilted liner, internal device pocket and plenty of zipper pockets for stashing your valuables.

Note: Customers have found this jacket runs small and recommend sizing up one size.
