Born and raised in the small town of Anamosa, Iowa, John Parham dropped out of community college in 1979 to start selling motorcycle parts at swap meets. John and his wife, Jill, spent every weekend traveling to motorcycle events and rallies. For decades, they lived the motorcycle lifestyle and tried to make a living doing it. John and Jill traveled constantly and worked continuously to grow the J&P Cycles name among motorcyclists. As riders themselves, John was a leader in being the first to market with new products and brands that motorcycle riders would be interested in. John and Jill were obsessed with serving the rider so they hired motorcycle mechanics to take customer phone calls. Taking it to the next level, they built a J&P Cycles mobile retail store and took it to rallies nationwide, stocked with everything riders need while living off of their bikes. And to commemorate it all, every year, during the third weekend of April, J&P Cycles celebrates the passion for motorcycles, championing new products and obsession with customer service that is the legacy of our founders. The legacy that made J&P Cycles the largest seller of aftermarket motorcycle parts and accessories. And the legacy that every employee of J&P Cycles aspires to deliver to every rider, every day.
