What is a motorcycle wiring harness?
The wiring harness is your bike's "nervous system." It's a big, bundled-up collection of all the wires that connect every electrical part—from the battery to the starter, the headlights, the turn signals, and the ignition. It's the "backbone" of your whole electrical system.
When would I need a new wiring harness?
The two most common reasons are restoration or customization. If you're restoring a very old, "barn-find" bike, the original harness is probably
cracked and corroded, and it's much safer to replace it. For custom "chopper" builds, you'll use a simplified, "bare-bones" harness to keep the wiring clean and hidden.
Is installing a new wiring harness a hard job?
