They sound great! I don't even have a shield on my bike to block the wind and I can hear them the music up to roughly 60 miles per hour without a helmet on blocking my ears off.... But you can also hear them clear as day WITH a helmet on. No complaints from me over here. I've got an '07 Yamaha XVS 650 Custom w/ louder pipes and tunage. Bike is capable of approx 110-115mph no problem. Just to give you an idea as to what it is mounted to; I have 2 speakers mounted to the sissy bar and the other 2 mounted to the handle bars.
